With the slogan "united and developed community in behalf of children", the community of Ribeira Ribeira Bote and Craquinha, in partnership with SOS Social Centre Mindelo and other partner institutions, held on 11 February, a lecture in the two above communities in order to sensitize the entire population about the social problems that affect especially children and at the same time promoting the potentiality in these two communities.
The activities started at 9 a.m with a clean-up campaign in the community of Ribeira Bote finishing at 4 p.m, with several recreational and cultural activities including music, dance, exhibitions, and so on.
"We consider that these activities achieved positive results, as we could perform all the activities previously proposed and at the end we could realize that these communities have a huge potential and capable people to work in protecting the child’s best interests and on the other hand they are aware of the problems that affect their children", words of representative for organising the activity.
