SOS Cape Verde organise Sponsors’ Gala SOS

SOS Children’s Villages Cape Verde organise in the evening of 15 of June, in the National Auditorium, Mr Jorge Barbosa, the Cultural Sponsors’ Gala SOS 2012 as a way to thank the SOS Children’s Villages sponsors, partners and friends, whom have been cooperate with the organisation, and on the other hand, to do the kick-start of sponsorship campaign at the national level.
Having artists such as Mr Mirri Lobo, Mr Uziel Sança, Mr Tó Alves, Mr “Bob”, the choral group of SOS Children’s Village São Domingos there were good reasons to assist to a wonderful concert. The baseband composed by the artists: Mr Kim Alves (keyboard), Mr Kaku (guitar), Mr Wilson (bass) e Mr Jorge (percussion) pushed forward for the great performance of the concert for the 500 people who were assisting to the concert.
Beyond the performing of the artists, the gala was stressed by the testimonial of Ms Lissa, a resettled SOS young people who has recently graduated in Portugal and has lived since 5 years in SOS Children’s Village of Assomada.
“When I was admitted in SOS Children’s Village Assomada I was only 5. There I had the opportunity to have a new family; I played, studied, grew up, lived and so on, till I become an adult. SOS Children’s Villages was, is and it will be very important in my life”, said Lissa.
The Cultural Sponsors’ Gala 2012 had as special guest Mrs Lígia Fonseca, First Lady of Cape Verde and Honoured Sponsor of SOS Children’s Villages Cape Verde, which stressed the importance of the works developed by SOS Cape Verde and the role of capeverdean society in the building process of this great project and cause.
The National Director, Mr Dionísio Pereira, thanked the contribution of gestures of solidarity which from one way or another have improved the quality of the services provided, by allowing expand the scope of action to other locations.
