In the framework of the celebration of International Day of Families, on 15 May, SOS Social Centre Mindelo performed lecture on “Citizenship and Human Rights for responsible fatherhood and motherhood”.
The lecture was held in the multipurpose room of Social Centre from 2.45 p.m to 4 p.m and it was conducted by psychologist, Mrs. Telma Brito, in representation of MORABI, institution partner of Social Centre.
The purpose was to draw attention of parents and caregivers of the important role as an integral part of public opinion. On the other hand, it was highlighted also the role of parents as responsible for the education of children and important nucleus to keep alive the structure of the family.
The lecture was attended by sixty one people, especially participants the beneficiary’s families from family strengthening of SOS Children’s Villages Cape Verde, social partners, by the social workers from Social Centre, Ms. Célia Lopes and Ms. Vânia Lopes, and other individuality from the beneficiary’s communities.
