Children's from the Kindergarten of Assomada commemorate "Father's Day"

On 19 March the children from the Kindergarten of SOS Children’s Village Assomada commemorated “Father’s Day” and as a way to thanks their fathers they made postal card to dedicate to their parents. This activity was in charge of Mr Sidney Delgado, Education Coordinator, at SOS Children’s Village Assomada, in to order to provide a peculiar and different day to the children for this symbolic date with playful and recreational activities on behalf of the children from SOS Children's Village Assomada in the presence of pedagogical and administrative staffs.

There is to be recalled that “Father’s Day” is commemorated on 19 March and it is a message to fathers worldwide. The father’s tribute was celebrated for the first time in the United States of America when Mrs Sonora Louise intended to dedicate a special day exclusively to her father, Mr William Smart, a World War veteran, whose wife died on the birth of her sixth child.
