Cooperation agreement between SOS CV Cape Verde and General Direction of Literacy and Education of Adults (DGAEA)

Today, by 9:30 hours, the Social Center of S. Vicente, in Ribeira de Julião, occur the signing of a cooperation agreement between SOS Children's Villages and the General Direction of Literacy and Education of Adults (DGAEA).

This agreement will be initialed by the National Director of SOS Children's Villages, Mr. Dionisio Simões Pereira and the Director General of Literacy and Adult Education, Mr. Florence Mendes Varela, and it will certainly be important to the effectiveness of educational and social interventions carried out by SOS Social Center, in an effort to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged children and families in society s.vicentina.

Assinatura de acordo de cooperação: Aldeias Infantis SOS e a Direcção Geral de Alfabetização e Educação de Adultos

Decorre hoje, pelas 9:30Horas, no Centro Social de São Vicente, em Ribeira de Julião, a assinatura de um acordo de cooperação entre as Aldeias Infantis SOS e a Direcção Geral de Alfabetização e Educação de Adultos (DGAEA).

O referido acordo será rubricado pelo Director Nacional das Aldeias Infantis SOS, Sr. Dionísio Simões Pereira e pelo Director Geral de Alfabetização e Educação de Adultos Sr. Florenço Mendes Varela e será certamente importante para a eficácia das intervenções sociais e educativas realizadas no Centro Social SOS, no esforço de melhorias das condições de vida das crianças e famílias menos favorecidas da sociedade s.vicentina.

What About «SOS Voices»!!

The next subject of the radio programme «SOS Voices» (the third one) is about FSP. It planned to be done as a simple and good conversation between three persons: the NO Social Worker, Mrs. Solange Dongo, the Coordinator of the Community Centre of Brasil's Neighourhood, Dr Augusto Vaz and the CPPO, Mário V. Almeida. The reaction about this new communications process is still so little expressive within our organization and general public because of the time of issue.

Centro Social SOS ministra formação em Serviço de Limpeza

Decorre, desde o dia 8 de Setembro, nas instalações do Centro Social de São Vicente, uma formação em Serviços Domésticos destinada às mulheres e que visa dotar os formandos das seguintes competências: confecção e arranjo de roupa, limpeza geral, lavagem de roupa e loiça, preparação de refeições, compras, cuidados com crianças.

Esta formação tem a duração de 2 meses, e versará os seguintes módulos: primeiros socorros, higiene e segurança no trabalho, etiqueta profissional, gestão do tempo, limpar e conservar, cuidados com plantas e jardins, limpeza de peças especiais, organização de armários, alimentos.

A Formação conta com 20 mulheres inscritas e tem como objectivo principal a capacitação dos formandos de modo a aumentar as suas possibilidades de emprego. Essa capacitação estender-se-á, ainda, a uma fase posterior pós formativa como forma de reforçar a devida integração no mercado de trabalho.

A fine visit

The Village received a visit by the children from Centre for Social Protection of Lém Cachoro. During the day they did many activities with our children such as: games, songs, dance, poultry, jokes, etc.). In the company of Claudia Santos, the SOS Mother's Adviser the children got to know some things about the SOS CV S. Domingos Village, in particular.

The ND invited by Ministry of Education to submit a panel about Global Peace Games

The ND. Mr. Dionísio Pereira has been invited by the Ministry of Education to submit a panel about Global Peace Games in the Expanded Council of the Ministry of Education.

In his speech the ND presented the principles, objectives and programs of our organization. This meeting takes place in the National Assembly and has the subject: "Education: to new challenges, new responses".

It was attended by all delegations of the ministry of education, directors of higj schools and other entities related to socio-educational responsibility

The President of Executive Council, Mr. Arnaldo Rocha visit the organization

The President of Executive Council of Coca-Cola Cape Verde, Mr. Arnaldo Rocha visited the organization yesterday in order to take note about our programmes and projects. On the NO the most representaive person of Coca-Cola company in Cap Vert express his feeling by this words: «its certainly important and meritorius celebrating a deal with SOS Cape Verde but it has to be done with sustainability".

Minister of Education, Dr.ª Vera Duarte visit SOS CV Cape Verde

The Minister of Education and University Business, Dr.ª Vera Duarte, visited our organization on 26 June in order to make contacts and knowledge with programmes and projects developed over the years.

On that visit scheduled to give a broader vision of the organization, Minister stressed the importance of the relationship between the ministry and the SOS Children's Village and underlyned the naturalness of this relationship: "any action involving the education of children and young people interested is linked to ministry '.

At the table are two main points in deliberation: the collaboration in the Global Peace Games and the SOS Children's Games in order to make more comprehensive and effective these two activities among the young people and children.

Ministra da Educação visita Aldeias Infantis SOS

A Ministra da Educação e Ensino Superior, Dr.ª Vera Duarte, visitou no passado dia 26 de Junho a nossa organização com o intuito de se inteirar dos programas e projectos desenvolvidos ao longo destes anos.

Nessa visita programada de modo a dar uma mais ampla visão da organização a Ministra frisou a importância do relacionamento entre a Aldeia Infantil SOS e a naturalidade com que essa relação se procede uma vez que «qualquer acção que implique a educação de crianças e jovens interessa ao ministério».

Na mesa estão dois pontos principais em deliberação: a colaboração nos Jogos Globais da Paz e nos Jogos Infantis SOS de modo a tornar mais abrangente e eficaz estas duas actividades no seio das camadas jovens.

Camp in Tarrafal-Santiago joined children from SOS CV Assopmda and from SOS CV S. Domingos

The camp on the beach in Tarrafal, August, 11th to 21, brought together children from SOS CV S. Domingos and from SOS CV Assomada in order to provide them an opportunity to an relatively coexistence, in an environment extra Village.

Children, SOS mothers, admnistrative staffs participated, together, in interesting activities such as manual work - decoration of envelopes, painting and decoration of figures in esferovite, bracelets and yarn missangas; tour with the older children to a small hill overlooking the beach Graciosa behalf of Dual Water, soccer, etc.

Acampamento na Praia de Tarrafal junta crianças das Aldeias de Assomada e de S. Domingos

O acampamento na Praia de Tarrafal, decorrido de 11 a 21 de Agosto reuniu crianças das aldeias SOS de S.Domingos e de Assomada visando proporcionar-lhes uma oportunidade de convívio relativamente duradouro, num ambiente extra Aldeia.

Foram realizadas actividades difíceis de se realizar durante o ano lectivo nomeadamente passeios com crianças acima dos 12 anos ao King Feecher; trabalhos manuais como decoração de envelopes, pintura e decoração de figuras em esferovite, pulseiras e fios de missangas; passeio com as crianças mais crescidas a uma pequena Praia sobranceira ao monte Graciosa de nome Água Dual, entre várias outras actividades.

Radio On made by SOS CV Cap Vert: soon

A radiophonic program named «SOS Voices» will began next 23 th August on Educational Radio and NewTechnologies (a future 'radiophionic institute' in Cap Vert). This program is from entiry responsability of National Office through its communication and public relations department. During one year (renewable) the organization will explain his principles, programs and projects, trying to make new friends for our children.

After the Rain in SOS CV S. Domingos

After the rain the gardener of Village is taking advantage of the opportunity to color the village green. With the help from some of the children and admnistrative staff', he is planting an so-called "fingers" in order to beautify the village.
